Networking is a must in the business world. As we see on the world wide web, the goal of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is to make connections between businesses and potential customers. However, just making connections should not be your goal of SEO. People purchase products, services or information after a connection becomes meaningful for them. You can make a meaningful connection for potential costumers by creating the correct persona, or image, for your product, service, or information.
How do we create the correct persona?
Well, let's define persona using Merriam-Webster: "The image or personality that a person presents to other people." You are to create a correct image of your service, product, or information to your consumers; likewise, you need to also make sure you are presenting your product to the right customer who needs or wants what you have to offer. Because of this, it is wise to research your potential customers to get a better understand about what they are looking for and how to better connect with them.

Why is this important? For businesses to make lasting and impacting connections with consumers, they need the consumer to resonate with them and see their product, service, or information as valuable to them. This is done by quickly capturing the perspective of your audience.
How does persona in SEO help you?
The right image allows your business to connect and present information to potential customers by using not just any information, but the correct information that will allow them to respond to your communication and marketing. For example, if you are selling running gear, someone who enjoys running will respond differently than someone who enjoys fishing. A teenager will connect differently to certain products compared to a stay-at-home mom, etc. When people have the right information to connect, they will respond because they identify with what is being said. You do not want just any response from customers, you want them to respond in such a way that allows you to make a sale or create an opportunity to provide your service.
Over all, determine who your customers will be, and create the right persona or image to connect with them. You will connect to your consumer base so much better once you know who they are, where they come from, and how they see their world.
